Technical Service Capabilities

ProFAX
Incorporated in 2002 in the State of New York and providing services since 1989, ProFax is a service provider specializing in the electronic storage, management and dissemination of information. We design and host "niche" or boutique style, IT solutions for both commercial and government clients.

Internet/Web/ASP Design and Hosting Services
ProFax, Inc. is an Internet Application Service Provider (ASP). As hosts for our clients' websites and Internet applications, we maintain a computer data center featuring Windows NT servers, SQL Database servers, and an ever growing number of disaster tolerant (buried underground) T1 communication lines. We maintain access to multiple ISP's as well as co-location sites. We host banks of fax servers for out going deliveries and all of our incoming fax ports operate at 9600 baud or better. Our programmers are multilingual in; Visual Basic, VB Script, C++, FoxPro, Access, HTML, JavaScript, Java, CGI and SQL.

Security Certificate & Y2K
ProFax, Inc. manages the purchase of a secure site authentication certificate when required. ProFax warrants that all hardware software, communications equipment and services, it leases, rents, or owns, are Y2K compliant.

Digital ID's
We typically use Verisignâ to provide issuing, revocation, and status services for three types of Digital ID's -- Server ID's, Developer ID's for software publishers, and personal Digital ID's for use with Web Browsers and S/MIME applications.

Encryption/Security/FTP
All of our servers are located behind firewalls. All of our customer databases are kept separate and no information ever passes between customer applications. In addition, we will provide either 40bit or 128bit encryption for all transactions and file transfers to provide secure transaction processing in addition to log-in methodology (user-id and passwords). To deliver sensitive client data we often employ FTP or Electronic Bulletin Board services.

Email and Fax Broadcasting Technology
ProFAXâ, is a proprietary fax/email broadcasting system developed and maintained by our in-house staff of programmers. Our systems core is designed using SQL database and Intranet technology. As such, we can develop custom, web-enabled client applications in a fraction of the time and cost associated with the programming and deployment of a custom system.

Messages
ProFax, Inc. can support virtually any message and attachment type. We achieve this by employing conversion processes to our systems. We use a monochrome printer driver to achieve these conversions. The Monochrome Printer Driver is designed for developers and sophisticated end users to build fax or raster image capturing applications. Both drivers can be installed and connected to "FILE" ports to capture raster images into files. This allows easy output of a multi-page RTF file to a TIFF Group 4 format, with minimal coding.

Reports
Reports can be available as .pdf or text file formats as well as on paper. We provide industry standard Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf) reporting as well as the ability to export reports to a flat text file for importation into virtually any common software package available today. You will be able to easily import a usage report into MS Excel and perform analysis as you please.

Capacity and Expansion
ProFax, Inc. is outfitted with underground digital multiple T-1 telecommunications between its masonry building and Verizon Central Office. Additionally, fiber optic DS3 service is currently being installed with diverse routing to accommodate instant capacity expansion when necessary. Global Crossing is ProFax's primary telecommunication provider, however direct connectivity between ProFax, Inc. and Eureka Networks provides alternate telecom vendors for redundancy.

In an effort to ready our business for expansion, our facility is equipped with over a hundred dedicated circuits all capable of handling T-1 digital traffic. We activate these lines on an as needed basis with our carriers. Our core hardware infrastructure of Dialogic and Brooktrout telecommunications hardware is attached to MS-Sequel Servers and is designed and built to accommodate easy and rapid expansion.

Each T-1 has a fax/telecom capability of 1,400 minutes per hour or 34,500 per day. While we currently do have the excess capacity to handle your projected needs, we could dedicate appropriate exclusive service for your sole use when and if that should become a required necessity.

Our systems are monitored either on site or remotely around the clock. All critical equipment is outfitted with hot swappable power supplies and hard drives. Additionally, UPS backup power is in place and system tape backups are performed on a regular basis. Because we have an international clientele, we take every reasonable precaution to minimize our downtime whether it is for routine system maintenance or hardware failure.
